Peyton Manning by artvandaley Peyton Manning by artvandaley
I needed to practice drawing a football player before I started to try and draw another football photograph. This is just a photo from google that I thought looked pretty cool. I was trying to rush it, but it somehow took 6 hours. It's all charcoal on some Dark Gray Paper. I'll probably try and clean it up and put in more detail later. But Please if you will enlighten me with any wisdom how how to make this look cool, I would greatly appreciate it, any creativity is welcome :P. Thanks.

If it is not too late for this, I would try redrawing the holes in the jersey to make them all similar sizes and shapes, Also, if there is anyway you can make them line up a little better I would try that. Near the top they look kind of randomly placed and can tend to look like polka dots, the bottom folds of the jersey look real good though. I've drawn Peyton before and I had that same problem at first. Its a very small detail change but it might help make it more realistic. That's really all I can think of. Otherwise it looks good, the arms especially have an intense look to them. Hope it helps!

I was thinking the same thing, might have been because it was 2am when I was finishing it up and I just wanted to through them in there. But with charcoal it's never too late. I can do it all over. But really thanks for bringing that up I do think those small details brings everything together.
